An exhibition of preparatory works in celebration of the official unveiling of the Bramall Music Building frieze Theme and Variation by Peter Randall-Page. The frieze is made up of over nine hundred individually created ceramic tiles and is based on a visual representation of improvisation in jazz music. This new exhibition of preparatory and subsequent works explores how the design was created and gives an insight into the intricacies of the pattern as well as the artist’s working practices.

This exhibition runs across two venues: the Bramall Music Building foyer and the Aston Webb Rotunda.
