Peter Randall-Page At Yorkshire Sculpture Park British artist Peter Randall-Page has an international reputation as a sculptor and draughtsman. He has undertaken commissions across the world and his work is held by many important collections, including Tate and the British Museum. His commissions include Give and Take (2005), in Newcastle, which won the 2006 Marsh Award for Public Sculpture. Randall-Page has a passionate preoccupation with the natural world, the study of organic form being at the centre of his artistic practice. In recent years his interest in naturally occurring pattern and the dynamic tension between between order and chaos has led to a series of works that focus on pattern as something fundamental to the emergence of life and growth. Peter Randall-Page at Yorkshire Sculpture Park is the artist's most significant exhibition to date, comprising an extensive and exciting collection of new and recent sculptures, drawings and prints. This publication serves as a guide to the exhibition and features all major works. |

Peter Randall-Page sculpture and Chris Chapman photography 96 pages (hard back - 22 x 25 cm, soft back - 22 x 24.5 cm) including over 35 black and white images and 40 in full colour. In 1992 the innovative and influential arts and environmental charity, Common Ground, initiated their first model project on local distinctiveness with the sculptor Peter Randall-Page. The project spanned six years, paralleled by Chris Chapman's photographic record. This book documents the making of five sculptures and a garden in and around the Teign Valley near the village of Drewsteignton on the edge of Dartmoor.
